I have been a photographer for more than 30 years. My family moved from Chicago to Honolulu, Hawaii in the late 1950’s and my young photography career began in the late 60’s photographing big board surfing while attending high school on the island of Oahu. I was the official photographer for the Greg Noll Surf Team! I represented numerous surfing magazines in Honolulu and the mainland and at 18 was the youngest photographer selected to attend a week-long photographic workshop in New York City.

After a brief stint at Indiana University in 1967 I enlisted in the Army and worked in radio and television in Okinawa for 18 months. I was transferred to Stewart Air Force base in upstate New York to work as a journalist for six months before returning to Hawaii.

In 1970 I embarked on my first trip around the world traveling for nine months throughout Europe, North Africa, Greece, Israel, Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan. At that time it was safe for Americans to travel anywhere in the world and Afghanistan and Morocco were some of my favorite countries I visited. In 1972 I left for a six-month trip primarily throughout Southeast Asia, Bali, Indonesia and Borneo.

After spending six months in the San Francisco area I drove across country and settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts where I lived, and married, for more than 25 years working as a freelance photographer and raising my three children.
My client list was extensive: The American Repertory Theatre, Boston Lyric Opera, the New England Patriots, New York Times, Time & Newsweek, Der Spiegel and Arts & Humanities to name only a few along with more than 50 different book publications about theatre.

I traveled to Thailand 2-3 times a year to visit my brother and his Thai wife and in 2005 decided to leave my life in America and begin a new life in Thailand.

I have also recently opened, in HuaHin,  "The Srimudra Furniture Company"...a unique selection of Thai contemporary furniture and decorative arts". As a collector of furniture, art, antiques, oriental rugs, Outside art (art created by untrained artists in America), African sculpture and textiles over the past 35 years....it was a wonderful opportunity to create a furniture and decorative arts store accompanied by my years of collecting and my recent acquisitions since I have relocated to Thailand.
